ITC 2026

Call for Papers

ITC solicits original research on information-theoretic security, its mathematical foundations, and the computational and quantum settings informed by its techniques.

Papers on all technical aspects of information-theoretic cryptography and related topics were invited for peer review, publication in the open-access proceedings, and presentation at ITC 2026.

More broadly, authors are encouraged to bring work in theoretical cryptography into an ITC-suitable form—for example, by isolating the information-theoretic core of a result or presenting a simplified variant in an idealized model.

Publication

Accepted publication-track papers will appear in LIPIcs — Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics under an open-access license. A selected subset will be invited for submission to the Journal of Cryptology.

  • Quantum cryptography with unconditional security
  • Idealized models, including random-oracle and generic-group models, tamper-proof hardware, and ideal obfuscation
  • New information-theoretic primitives and their computational analogues

Conference tracks

Publication track

Papers selected from conference submissions by the program committee, published in the proceedings, and presented at ITC.

Spotlight track

Invited survey talks highlighting particularly exciting recent advances in information-theoretic cryptography. These talks are not published in the proceedings.

Highlights track

Invited talks—typically by students and postdocs—on recent ITC-related work appearing across major theory and cryptography venues.

Community nominations

Self-nominations were welcome for both the spotlight and highlights tracks. Nominations are handled by the program chair.

Potential conflicts include past advisors and students, people with the same affiliation within the last two years, recent coauthors or collaborators (approximately two papers within two years), and family members.
